Filming in San Francisco
Permits in San Francisco are issued by the San Francisco Film Commission. SF Film Commission issues location permits for most public exterior filming. Response time is typically 3–5 business days for standard permits. Presidio and GGNRA require separate NPS permits. Golden Gate Bridge photography/filming is controlled by the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District.
